Setting Up Outlook Express
For Outlook Express 5.0 - 5.5
- Double Click on Outlook Express on your Desktop.
- If this is a first time setup, jump to step 6 and continue
- Click once on the Tools Menu.
- Click once on Accounts.
- Click once on the Mail Tab.
- Click once on Add, and then click on Mail.
- Type in your Display Name ex. "The Smith's". Click Next.
- Check I already have an email address I would like to use. Put in
your email address.
(use lower case letters) username@ruralnetwork.net. Click Next.
- POP3 is the Incoming Mail Server Type.
- In the "Incoming Mail" type (use lower case letters): mail.ruralnetwork.net.
- In the "Outgoing Mail" type (use lower case letters): mail.ruralnetwork.net.
- Click Next.
- Your account name will already be in the right box, but type in your
password
(use lower case letters). Click Next.
- Click Finish.
