Netscape 4.6 & 4.7

Adding Additional Mail Accounts


  1. Click on Start
    • Click on Programs
    • Click on Netscape Communicator
    • Click on Utilities
    • Click on User Profile Manager
  2. This brings up the Profile Manager window. Click on New.
  3. This brings up the Creating a New Profile window. Click Next.
  4. In the New Profile Window, Type in Your Name and Your email address in the area provided. Make sure your email address is in lower case letters. Click Next.
  5. In the next window, Type in a Name for your profile, ex...RNS Mail. Leave the default for the directory. Click Next.
  6. In the Outgoing Mail Server, type in mail.ruralnetwork.net. Click Next.
  7. n the Incoming Mail Server window, type in your RNS email username in the username box and mail.ruralnetwork.net in the Incoming Mail Server box and choose POP3 for the Mail Server type. Click Next.
  8. The Newsgroups Server window comes up next. Type in news.ruralnetwork.net. Click Finish.

    You are now ready to read your mail! Click on Communicator, then Messenger. You will be asked
    about subscribing to folders, click OK. You should then be prompted to put in your password.
    This is your RNS Mail password.
