CHANGING SETTINGS IN INBOX.

 

This is Usually Windows Messaging or Microsoft Exchange


  1. Double Click on Inbox
  2. Click on Tools and then Click on Options.
  3. On the General Page, When starting MS Messenger/Exchange select Always use this profile. Make sure your mail box name is bolded in the field underneath. If it is blank or not the correct mail box, Click on the down arrow on the right and select the right mail box by clicking on the name.
  4. Click on the Services tab at the top.
  5. Click on Internet Mail so it is highlighted, then Click the Properties button.
  6. On the General page and type in the following:
  1. Full Name: Your Name ex Harry Smith.
  2. Email Address: username@ruralnetwork.net. Use lower case letters.
  3. Internet Mail Server: mail.ruralnetwork.net. Use lower case letters.
  4. Account Name: username. Use lower case letters.
  5. Password: your password
  6. Click on the Advanced Options button.
  7. Forward all outbound mail to the following mail server. Type in mail.ruralnetwork.net. Use lower case letters.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Click on the Connection tab on the top.
  10. Put a dot in the circle Connect using the modem.
  11. Under Dial using the following connection. Make sure RNS is in the box. If not then Click on the down arrow and Select the connection name by Clicking once on RNS.
  12. Click OK on the bottom of the page.
  13. Click OK on the bottom of the options page.
