Windows XP Home Setup
Start out by clicking the Start Menu and then clicking Control Panel
Click Network and Internet Connections

Click Set up or change your Internet connection

Click Setup...

Click Next >
Select Connect to the Internet, and click Next >
Select Set up my connection manually, and click Next >
Select Connect using a dial-up modem, and click Next >

Type RNS and click Next >
Type in the local number and click Next.

Type in the username and password. Uncheck Turn on Internet Connection
Firewall for this connection. Click Next >
Check Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop. Click Finish.
The connect screen should pop up now. Click Properties. If
it does not, double click on the shortcut to RNS and click Properties.

Click Networking, highlight Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click
Properties
The Properties should look like this. Type in the DNS numbers. There
is no need to hit Advanced. Just click OK.
Click OK again.

Finished. Click Dial to connect now or Cancel to connect
later.
