Open your Internet browser.
Go to this address: http://10.0.0.2
At the login prompt, enter the following information:
User Name: admin
Password: zoomadsl
Click OK to continue.
Select the Advanced Setup tab at the top of the page.
Click the Management Control button.
Uncheck TELNET, SNMP, and TFTP.
Click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page.
Click the Write Settings to Flash button at the bottom of the page.
Select the Wireless tab at the top of the page.
Set Encryption to a mode compatible with your wireless network card's chipset.
WPA is preferable to 128 bit WEP, which is in turn preferable to 64 bit WEP.
If you network card supports WPA, set it to WPA.
Set WPA Passphrase to a long, not easily guessed password.
Clear the SSID box, then enter a name for your network.
Set Hide SSID to true.
If you network card supports 128 bit WEP, set it to WEP-128 bit.
Enter a 26 digit hexidecimal string in the Key 1 box. Be sure to put a hyphen after every other digit.
Clear the SSID box, then enter a name for your network.
Set Hide SSID to true.
If you network card supports 64 bit WEP, set it to WEP-64 bit.
Enter a 10 digit hexidecimal string in the Key 1 box. Be sure to put a hyphen after every other digit.
Clear the SSID box, then enter a name for your network.
Set Hide SSID to true.
Click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page.
Click the Write Settings to Flash button at the bottom of the page.
Exit your Internet browser.
